Another nice paint job from Bill
Zegers. Window masks and window-molding decals make it easy to style
out the shell.
UNDER THE HOOD
We understand the entire
“Racers want to choose
their own tires” rationale for
omitting tires from a kit, but
it’s always nice to get a set
of sneakers in the box even if
they’re only good for practice.
In the case of the GV2, you get
a pretty good set of tires. They
won’t be ideal for every track, but
the Holeshot-like tread and supple
rubber of Academy’s home-grown
Fusion tires are pretty darn good. Plain
foam inserts are supplied, and direc-tional-rib front tires do the steering.
Academy’s Fusion tires are fit for the
track, just add glue.
The GV2 shows its race-ready
stance. Note that the motor guard
extends to protect the endbell.
