Easier bead-lock wheel assembly
Max Hikensen ❯❯ Fort Pierce, FL
The Axial AX10 Scorpion’s bead-lock wheels and tires wil be easier to assemble if you lubricate the tire’s bead to seat in the groove in the wheels. Place a
few drops of dish-washing soap in a bowl of water, and mix it up. Next, rub
soapy water around the tire bead. The tire bead will slide into the groove
much easier, and it won’t slip out after the water dries.
Zip-tie ball cup retainer
Boni Yao ❯❯ Quezon City, Philippines
Ball cups are meant to pop off the ball joint in a
crash to prevent parts breakage. This is a great
security, but there’s nothing worse than when a ball
cup pops off during a race and you lose the ability
to steer the car. Use a few zip-ties to keep the ball
cup attached to the steering knuckle arm, even
when the ball cup pops off the ball joint. You’ll be
able to steer the car and finish the race. Just make
sure not to overtighten the zip-ties or you’ll bind up
the suspension.

Mount the steering
servo on your
Inferno buggy, truck
or sedan by drilling
holes on the servo
tray, and then use
the stock servo
mounts to secure
the servo underneath the servo tray. It lowers the CG slightly
and provides a little more leverage on the steering linkage.
Quick shock-angle adjustment
Amin Oskrochi ❯❯ Brackley, Northants, UK
This tip is for cars and trucks that have threaded
shock bushings. Instead of passing the shock
mounting screw through the back of the shock
tower and then tightening the shock bushing on the
screw, pass the screw through the front of the
shock and through the shock bushing. Secure the
screw to the back of the shock tower with a locknut, and you’ll only need to remove the
locknut to change the shock angle.
Ultra GTP stinger extension
Raymond Meyer ❯❯ Riverside, CA
The Ultra GTP comes with a nice tuned pipe,
but it doesn’t include an exhaust tip
extension to prevent fuel residue from
collecting on the inside of the body.
Install a Revo exhaust stinger or a . 12
size engine air-filter mount on the
exhaust tip with zip-ties to direct the
residue away from the body.
