MUCHMORE RACING POWER MASTER WORLD EDITION II EVO POWER SUPPLY
;ere are a bunch of chargers out there that require a power supply for use and Muchmore
Racing is one company that has a few in its lineup. One of them is the 24-amp Power Master
World Edition II Evo which is a mouthful, so we’ll just refer to it as the WEII. Space on any work
bench or pit table is at a premium and the WEII fits the bill by being small in size. It measures 5. 3
x 5. 7 x 2.0 inches and includes a very long power cord to make plugging into the farthest plug a
breeze. A built-in cooling fan keeps the electronics inside operating at a safe temperature and
it only kicks in when necessary. Other features include two power outputs and overload and
short circuit protection. When setting up my WEII,, I was unhappy with the power input location
for the plug. It’s on the same side as the output plugs which makes it awkward when running
your power cord. I’d like to see it on the opposite side or on the side of the power supply. Since
the WEII has two outputs, I plugged in two chargers and charged up two battery packs at the
same time. ;e WEII had no problem supplying the power needed to make that happen. —Kevin

OTT LIGHT
BATTERY TASK
LAMP
Whether you’re a racer or a basher, you always want to
have as much light on your pit table or workbench as possible.
It makes it easier to see what you’re doing and to find any flaws
in your vehicle. OttLights have always been a favorite among RC
people and have been used for that duty for years. Well, there’s a
new OttLight in town and this one is rechargeable. ;at makes it
perfect for working on your tailgate while bashing or at your local
track where there are no plugs available. ;e OttLight comes with a
plug and it has a small jack that plugs into the back of the OttLight
to charge it up. It can also be used to power it if you are near a plug. I
brought my light with me to Motorama and use it all weekend. It has
a mode to use the battery power and can be switched to use a plug.
I tried it out in both modes and it worked as advertised. ;e light
was bright enough for me to see everything that I needed to and it
didn’t take up much space on my pit table. Another nice feature is
that it shuts o; when you fold the light up and saves juice. —Kevin
