Since the RC100 of Butch Kroells crossed the finish line to claim the first-ever IFMAR World Championship in 1977, Team Associated has won 26 of the most coveted titles in radio control—with a staggering 18 di;erent car kits. ;e ProLite 4x4, however,
couldn’t be any less interested in that history; after all, there’s not even a class for it on the
international level. Instead, this broad-shouldered bruiser is intended for the local spots
where even seasoned factory pros got their start: the backyard tracks and empty lots
that are the breeding ground for RC’s next generation. Built on an all-new platform as the
springboard of a completely new concept for the industry’s most historically iconic brand,
the ProLite 4x4 could be the most exciting release we’ve seen in years.
