LOSI MINI 8IGHT DB
Losi has once again hit the 1/14-scale market with a new o;-roader, and
this one is called the Mini 8IGHT DB. ;e “DB” stands for “Desert Buggy,”
and it features a scale roll cage that’s topped o; by a desert-style body.
You can choose from a white or blue trim scheme, and it comes with a
Spektrum DX2E to control it. Other features include shaft-driven 4 WD,
aluminum shock towers, turnbuckles, threaded body shocks, and gear
di;erentials. Losi even includes a 7.2-volt NiMH battery and charger to
power it up.

Pro Tek’s .21-size Samurai engine has been popular
with racers in the 1/8-scale buggy and truggy
classes, and now there’s a new version with more
to like. ;e V2 version has been updated to provide
better fuel e;ciency and smoother acceleration.
According to Pro Tek, the new composite carburetor
is able to get you up to 14 minutes on a tank of fuel
when properly tuned. With this engine, you also get
a 3-port sleeve, a turbo-style head, short stroke,
and rear ceramic bearing.
