The Traxxas 4-Tec 2.0 shares its name with the two-belt tourer that first hit the street in the late
’90s, but all similarities end there. The dual belts have been replaced by shaft drive, and not a single part has carried over from the original 4-Tec. The all-new “ 2.0” shaft car arrives as a Ford GT and is designed to accept the huge
variety of aftermarket bodies as well. The design is fully modern and modular, and fully loaded with the tech you
expect from “the fastest name in radio control.” That includes a Bluetooth-ready transmitter, Traxxas Stability Management, and Titan 12-turn power for 30+mph speeds—waterproof, of course, along with the rest of the electronics.
Since our “First Look” in the May issue, we’ve had plenty of wheel time with the two-oh—here’s how it goes.
