Another area where Losi saved a little money is in the shocks. Four plastic body shocks are used
to damp the ride, and they feature threaded bodies for easy and precise ride-height adjustment.
According to Losi, the material used is a composite plastic that is used on many of the TLR vehicles,
which yields excellent durability and performance. Two O-ring seals press against the chrome-plated shock shaft to keep the oil in and the dirt out.
Firm compound tires are used on the RTR version of the 8IGHT,
and they feature an aggressive tread pattern that will provide
good traction on all surfaces. ;e carcass is supported by foam
inserts, and they come glued to white dish–style plastic wheels.
Spektrum’s DX2e delivers reliable control,
as proven with many other Losi models.
;e obvious adjustments are trim knobs and
reversing switches for both channels plus a
steering-rate knob, but there’s more. Read
the manual and you’ll find instructions for setting
steering and throttle endpoints.
