RC MONSTER JAM
In the world of full-size monster trucking, the Monster Jam World Finals is the biggest event of the year. Thirty-two trucks, with legendary drivers like Todd LeDuc, Adam Anderson, and Bari Musawwir, gathered in Sam Boyd Stadium
in Las Vegas, Nevada, to compete in racing and freestyle competition, but they weren’t the only rigs clamoring for the
crowd’s attention. Before the evening action with the full-size monsters, there was a pit party during the day, where
fans get up close and personal with their favorite trucks and drivers and check out military rigs, show trucks, and
sponsor displays. This year, the pit party’s biggest draw was the RC Monster Jam World Finals. Sixteen drivers were
invited to compete just like the Monster Jam superstars do, and the crowd went nuts for freestyle and racing action in
1/10 scale. I packed up my trucks and camera, and headed to Vegas for one of the coolest RC events of the year. Here’s
what went down.
