MAIFIELD, TESSMANN, PHEND VICTORIOUS AT 2017
ROAR 1/8 ELECTRIC NATIONALS
Silver Dollar RC Raceway in Chico, California, hosted the ROAR 1/8 Electric Nationals, with all of the factory teams
and big names battling it out for the titles. Although attendance was lower than expected, the competition was still
fierce. In the premier 1/8 E-Buggy class, Ryan Maifield (Mugen) put in a strong performance from his TQ position to
take the title in the first two mains. A hard-charging Ty Tessmann (XRAY) secured second and Team Associated’s
Dreighton Stoub left to take the final podium spot. In E- Truggy, Tessmann drove to the win ahead of some of the
biggest names in o;-road racing. Ryan Maifield put up a strong fight, but settled for second. Ryan Cavalieri took
the last podium spot for third overall with Team Associated. ;e 4X4 Short Course class saw TLR’s Dakotah Phend
come out on top after setting the track ablaze for the TQ spot. Tanner Denney (TLR) kept things interesting by
taking the first A-main, but settled second overall with Ryan Maifield wheeling his Yokomo into third after the three

TLR’s Dakota Phend took the Short-Course 4X4 win with his TEN-SC TE 3.0.
