BIONIC BOX WRENCH
Axle nut doesn’t want to loosen?
Slip a driver through your box
wrench for a ton more torque to
easily spin it free.
Spray-On Mud Buster
If you know you’re in for a muddy driving session, give
your truck’s chassis and suspension parts a spray-down
with WD- 40. Wipe o; the excess, then hit the trail; you’ll
find the mud has much less clinging power, and cleanup
will be much easier.
A four-way wrench is also great for installing and
removing bearings. Use the end closest in size to
the bearing’s outside diameter to push it into or
out of the part. ;e broad wrench face makes it
easy to press the bearing without rocking it.
Phone-y Camber Gauge
Left your camber gauge at home? Head for the app
store on your smartphone and get a free bubble-
level app. Get one that shows the angle in
degrees, like “iHandy Level” shown here.
Wrap a few inches of electrical tape and
servo tape around the shaft of your
no. 2 screwdriver (or a similar tool) for
emergency use. If you forget to bring
tape or run out of it, your backup tape
will save the day.
