PIT TIPS
BEFORE
AFTER
SENSOR SENSIBILITY
For a neater brushless motor install,
coil the sensor wire around the motor
leads to keep everything tidy and
away from moving parts that could
damage them. If the motor uses a flat
sensor wire, you can coil it individually
and wrap it around one lead to make
things extra clean looking.
ANTI-MUD
MANEUVER
Before you go
mudding with
your truck,
apply a light
coating of
WD- 40 on the suspension and exposed chassis parts
before the melee to help keep mud from sticking and
make it easier to clean up after your run.
GET SKETCHY
To keep track of which screws go where during disassembly,
draw a sketch of what you’re taking apart on a piece of
cardboard and poke the screws into their correct locations as
you remove them. ✇
Shock Oil Sandwich
A lot of people store shock fluid in a tray in their toolbox,
but keeping the bottle in a horizontal position could allow
it to leak and cause a big mess. Simply put shock-fluid
containers in a small sandwich bag before putting them
back in your toolbox. ;is will keep the fluid from getting
all over the place.
Caught
on Tape
Grabbed your 2.5mm driver
instead of your 3/32-inch
driver by mistake again? Get
a variety pack of colored
electrical tape and wrap each
handle with a di;erent color
stripe. No more mix-ups
(unless you’re color-blind).
