;e TRX- 4’s steel chassis is constructed with
deep C-channel rails stamped out of 1.5mm steel,
and is impressively sti;. ;e bumper brackets,
skidplate, and bridged shock towers lend extra
support, and “floor pans” sprout o; the sides to
hold the electronics. Plastic rock sliders are also
fitted, and can slide in and out to suit di;erent
body widths. In the case of the included Defender
body, the sliders capture the sides of the body
for a realistic, fully enclosed look. ;e chassis
can be configured for di;erent wheelbases by
flipping the rear shock tower or swapping it for
an included “short-wheelbase” version. You’ll
need longer suspension links to complete the job,
however—those will be sold separately. Additional
body-fitting flexibility comes from the telescoping
bumpers, each of which has five positions to
choose from. Want to install an aftermarket
bumper? Bumpers designed for the Axial SCX10
series will fit right in.
